VOLUNTEERING AT SANDY

One of the very great things about the culture on Sandy Island is the impetus to pitch in and help that comes from all corners of the community.  As was said in 1952 by then Director, Norman Greene, when describing the Sandy-ite: “Participation rather than spectatorship is one striking factor”. This remains true today. There are many opportunities to lend your talent to the island, and we are always grateful for the help. Frankly the island doesn’t operate without the goodwill of the whole community, not just the staff. Here are some opportunities in 2024:

Sandypalooza Weekend – a volunteer work weekend of stewardship and preparation for the upcoming weekend. Register Here.

Sandy Strong Weekend – a weekend of honoring the past while we plan for the future. A unque event to envision Sandy for future generations. Register Here.

Advanced Volunteering Opportunities – Please visit our Volunteer Portal to apply as a volunteer to help at any time during the 2024 Season. Begin application here.
