Volunteer Matters is the primary tool used by the YMCA of Greater Boston to empower volunteers in supporting our work in the communities we serve. Job #1 is making sure we deliver our services while keeping staff, volunteers and participants all safe.  Volunteer Matters is a too that helps us do that, and thus a requirement for volunteering at camp.

When you open this link scroll down to the spot that says, Sandy Island Volunteer and click the blue button.
On the next page scroll down and click on the “register now” button. Create your login credentials and then log out.
Now go back to the link below and on the left side of the screen you should see a spot to login. Login and hopefully you will see a list of the things you need to do on the right-hand side of the screen.
You should have to do a CORI and SORI, upload a photo ID, watch a child safety video.

We are SO blessed to have so many people in our community that have it in their hearts and souls to support our beloved camps. You have talents! We have needs! One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of your talent nor our need. Matching your talent with our need across space and time however – that can be a trick! This questionnaire is a first step in trying to do that. Please fill it out conscientiously. It’s a first step at ensuring your volunteer work at camp will be as fulfilling as possible while also being of great benefit to the camp community. Thank you
