Your Staff Contract is the foundation of your agreement to work at camp. Please confirm the planned start and end dates of your employment and all other information in the contract. If all looks in order you can sign the document electronically within our Campminder information System. You can login to do that here: Campminder Login.

CONGRATULATIONS! Once this document is signed, it’s official. You have taken the first official step to being part of the the camp staff for the 2026 season! We are honored and privileged to have you with us. We sure hope you feel the same way!

 

Before your employment can become official with the YMCA of Greater Boston, you must agree to allow us to conduct background checks. This is an important step that helps us ensure the safety of our campers and all within our community.

This process can be done electronically in 2026. This is an upgrade from previous seasons!

There are three forms. Everyone will need to fill out one of theses. Some people will need to fill out two, and some people will need to fill out all three. Please read carefully in the descriptions below to see if that form applies to you:

ALL UNITED STATES RESIDENTS:
AAIM Background check form

 

ALL CURRENT RESIDENTS OF THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS:
MA CORI form

 

ALL PEOPLE THAT HAVE RESIDED IN THE STATE OF NH IN THE LAST 7 YEARS (file taxes in NH or have a NH Drivers License):
NH Background Check form

If you have a passport, take a picture of the photo page and upload that photo using the upload link below. The picture must clearly show your full name, picture, passport number, all text, and all four edges of the opened passport page.

If you do not have a passport please upload one item from list A and one item from list B below:

Login to Campminder and complete the remaining applicable forms

  • Health history form
  • Parental permission to leave camp premisses required for all staff under the age of 18 (download form here)
  • Parental Permission as per NH DOL (download form here

 

 

Lifeguarding and aquatics certifications

  • YMCA Lifeguarding certification
  • ASHI certification for First Aid, Emergency Oxygen & Basic Life Support
  • Red Cross Lifeguard certification AND Red Cross First Aid certification

All other certifications

  • Driver’s License is necessary for anyone hoping to be approved to drives camp vehicles
  • ServeSafe Certification if you have it and workin a kitchen or Dining Hall
  • NH Commercial Boating License
  • Nursing Licenses

Once your receive notification from your director that you have been activated in ADP, its time to login and continue the onboarding process there.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS ON A COMPUTER, AND NOT FROM A PHONE.

If this is your first time working with us, you should’ve gotten a welcome message from ADP with instructions. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR SPAM FOLDER IF YOU DIDN’T SEE IT. Please use that email to setup your account and then you can follow the instructions starting with step 11 below.

If you are returning, you may not have gotten that email, but can log in using the instructions below.

Your User ID will follow the format

FirstinitialLastname@YGB316. So for me, Angelo Firenze, it is AFirenze@YGB316

International Staff wont be able to complete certain aspects of the onboarding experience. That is OK.

-If you’ve never worked in the USA you will not have a social security number yet. That is OK. We will help you get one when you arrive. this means your onboarding tasks will have to wait until arrival.

-If you dont have a US based bank account yet, that is OK. We will help you get one when you arrive. this means your onboarding tasks will have to wait until arrival.

Video trainings must be completed prior to your arrival at camp. Your first paycheck will include compensation to cover the time spent during these trainings.

All staff must be current on the video trainings listed below. “Current” means that you’ve watched the video and passed the training within the last 12 months.

  • 51A Reporting
  • Shallow Water Blackout
  • Office Safety
  • Look before you lock
  • Food Allergy and Safety Training
  • Violence in the Workplace
  • YGB Sexual Harassment, Discrimination and Diversity in the Workplace
  • Slips, Trips, Falls
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Fire Safety

To access the video trainings, navigate to Absorb LMS from the ADP Home Screen. You may need to scroll down to find it. See screen shots as an example.

If you are returning you may still show as “current” for a training that will expire in the next month or so. If you are current on a training that will expire soon, hovering over it in absorb will reveal the date on which you will have to renew your training.
