What is Sandy Strong Weekend?

Sandy Strong Weekend is a new event for 2024 in the Sandy Island Calendar. We are extremely excited to offer it! You can read the full story of Sandy Strong here. But in summary Sandy Strong will be a weekend where we honor the past while we hope and plan for the future. If Sandypalooza is a weekend to prepare for the next season, Sandy Strong is an event to prepare for the nexct 125 season. We will conduct workshops on Facilities planning, Programming, and Culture. If Sandy Island has been important  to you and your family and  you feel invested in its healthy future, Sandy Strong Weekend will be a deeply meaningful event for you. We hope you’ll join us.

When?

Join us on Friday June 7th for dinner, and stay through brunch on Sunday June 9th

What is included with Tuition?

• A lakeside cabin with sizes available for individuals all the way up to families of 8 (all ages are welcome but there will not be specific programming for children).
• Boat to/from Sandy Island
• Dinner Friday night, 3 meals on Saturday and brunch on Sunday
• Banquet Dinner on Saturday
• Sandy Dance
• Sandy Facilities ideating Workshop
• Sandy Culture in the face of modernity Workshop
• Sandy Programming Workshop
• Sunday morning chapel service of remembrance for or Sandy dearly departed.
• Campfire with S’mores!
• Pre-season camp activities such as canoe, kayak and more are tentatively available.
