Volunteer Matters is the primary tool used by the YMCA of Greater Boston to empower volunteers in supporting our work in the communities we serve. Job #1 is making sure we deliver our services while keeping staff, volunteers and participants all safe. Volunteer Matters is a too that helps us do that, and thus a requirement for volunteering at Sandy Island Camp.

Sandy Island is SO blessed to have so many people in our community that have it in their hearts and souls to support our beloved island. You have talents! We have needs! One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of your talent nor our need. Matching your talent with our need across space and time however – that can be a trick! This questionnaire is a first step in trying to do that. Please fill it out conscientiously. It’s a first step at ensuring your volunteer work at Sandy will be as fulfilling as possible while also being of great benefit to the camp community. Thank you

As we get closer to the summer this will be the primary source of communication between and amongst the staff and volunteer communities while on the island. Information moves surprisingly fast on Sandy. This tool is essential for being able to keep in the loop.
