Sandy: Bob Patterson Patio and Seating Area
It has been more than 30 years Since legendary Sandy Island Staffer Bob Patterson led his last Sandy Dance. It has been almost that long that the Sandy Community has wanted to have a permanent tribute located on the island in honor of his incredible Sandy Spirit. The Bob Patterson Patio and Seating Area will be located to the left of Main Dock and be among the first thing Sandy Campers See when they get off the boat, and the last they see before they leave. The Seating Area is envisioned as a place to relax and commune. A planned fire pit, arbor and ample seating will provide an opportunity for campers to take in the spectacular views from an area that is currently under-utilized, the deteriorating shuffle board courts. The area will only take the space of two of the existing courts, leaving the other two available for continued use! We appreciate your support of this volunteer led effort!
