All Camps: Camp Endowment

The camp currently has @ $750K in our endowment fund. This capital puts @ $30-50K into the operating budget each and every year to support our mission. The YMCA of Greater Boston Overnight Camps board makes a recommendation on how to spend these resources in recent years:

• 2021: $30K was used to build the Outdoor Showers in the Trail Section at North Woods
• 2022: $15K was allocated toward the Architecture Plan for MacHall, rolled to 2023. Big Sandy Repairs- Came in at $24K.
• 2023: $12K for staff housing at Sandy Island to support an expanded kitchen and dining staff. $25K for Staff Housing at NW & PVC- reallocated toward Old LIT repairs to become new LIT (Was going to be used for staff, now being used for campers).
• 2024: 25K towards MacHall and $25K towards Managerie
